We are looking for a motivated and skilled Research Assistant (RA) to join our interdisciplinary project, WindCraft, team at the Hi-DARS lab. Candidates can have a background in Civil Engineering, Mechanical engineering, or Architecture, with a keen interest in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and wind simulation. Additionally, candidates with a passion for advanced manufacturing technologies such as Additive Manufacturing and Computational Design will be given preference.

About the WindCraft project: In the vast expanse of West Texas, the force of wind poses challenges and opportunities to the natural and built environment. Embracing these dynamics within architectural research, building practice, and design education demands a comprehensive understanding of the contextual conditions. The WindCraft Project systematically explores integrating wind into architectural design and construction, addressing challenges and opportunities while responding to the call for cleaner energy, enhanced wind resistance, and resiliency. The primary goal is to harmonize emerging technologies with regional methods, realizing wind's potential in architecture.

Applicants are welcome to send out their CVs and portfolios directly to Dr. Sina Mostafavi's contact email.
